My Story

In 2004 we were newly married and so excited to find out we were pregnant with our first and very much wanted baby. In early February 2005, at 14 weeks pregnant, I lost all my amniotic fluid. For 2 heartbreaking weeks we continued to hope that the amniotic fluid would replenish and the pregnancy would continue. Sadly, at 16 weeks we had to make the devastating decision to terminate the pregnancy and on Thursday 17th February I gave birth to a tiny baby girl. When you start a conversation about pregnancy and infant loss you realise just how common it is.
